Who We Are and Why We Serve

The Heart Behind Govardhan Go Shala

Founded in 2020, Govardhan Go Shala, Ahmedpur is a registered nonprofit organization rooted in compassion and committed to the care of vulnerable animals and underserved communities. What began as a humble initiative to protect cows has grown into a movement that combines animal welfare, human development, health services, and social upliftment—especially among tribal populations in the remote areas of Maharashtra.
Our work is guided by the belief that true humanity is reflected in how we treat the voiceless—be it cows, calves, or marginalized communities. With every rescued animal, supported tribal family, or empowered woman, we aim to restore dignity, health, and hope.
