Govardhan Go Shala Ahmedpur, Tq. Ahmedpur, Dist. Latur (Reg. No. MH0000019), actively promotes cultural development through a wide range of artistic initiatives including folk dances, stage performances, bhajans, kirtans, and traditional music concerts. The organization regularly conducts cultural events such as dramas, Tamasha performances, Shahiri programs, and dance competitions across the Latur district to preserve and promote Maharashtra’s rich heritage.
To further this mission, a dedicated committee has been formed to oversee and report all cultural promotional activities to the Secretary of the organization. In addition to organizing events, Govardhan Go Shala also runs music classes, drama training camps, and cultural workshops, especially for underprivileged students and youth with an interest in the performing arts. These efforts aim to spread awareness of social issues through street plays and community theatre in various rural villages of Latur Taluka.
One such cultural programme witnessed the participation of 226 children, who enthusiastically engaged in various activities. Events like drama competitions on current social themes and local sports contests received an overwhelming response from the community, fostering creativity, awareness, and cultural unity among participants.
